Throwbacks.

For some reason I always blast slow jams in the morning. Guess it’s because no one’s home and I get to sing (off key) til my heart’s content. I got to reminiscing about shows like Midnight Love & Planet Groove (Lawd BET why did you get rid of them?) and the R&B I listened to growing up. I really didn’t appreciate a lot of these songs like I should have when I was younger. Looking back now, R&B truly isn’t what it used to be. Just thought I’d share some of my personal 90′s favorites.

7 Mile: Do Your Thing

Lawd. Summer of 98. Damn. I think I was going into the 5th grade when this dropped. I couldn’t remember the name of this song for years until I stumbled upon it on YouTube awhile back (thank you Google). I think I’m the only one who liked and/or still remembers this song =/ Still great nonetheless.

Tamia: So Into You

If she isn’t one of the most beautiful & talented products of Canada.. Grant, you’re a lucky man! Lol. I absolutely adore her & this song. Thank you, Fabolous, for not making the mistake of having Ashanti in your Into You video (she shouldn’t have even been on the album version honestly..)

Rome: I Belong To You

Does this one really need an explanation? Seriously.

I actually could’ve kept the list going, but I gotta get ready for this exam that I was supposed to take yesterday.. Ugh.
