Slide and drop.

I’m a child who was raised on Schoolhouse Rock. You know, “Conjunction junction.. what’s your function?” [my shit lol]. I would say it’s pretty old school and as much as I might feel it’s timeless, I don’t know exactly how much of a liking this generation has for it.
Well, in comes The Electric Company. I don’t know what possessed me to turn to NJN early on a Saturday morning, but I did. What I stumbled upon was HILARIOUS. The Electric Company was on and at first I thought it was Ghostwriter, which is the main reason I didn’t change the channel. Apparently, it’s a revival of a 1970′s PBS educational show geared towards elementary-aged kids to get them to enjoy reading.
As much I wanted to change the channel, something told me not to. And then this happened..
The Slide and Drop. I don’t know what 70′s clothing had to do with the song at all, but I must admit it was pretty catchy. But seriously, is it just me or did they look like they were doing a variation of Crank Dat Soulja Boy? [insert yuuuuuuuuuuuuuule here].
Looking through the rest of the videos they had on YouTube, this one was probably my favorite.
Ne-Yo can turn anything into a hit lol.
Truthfully, I like that PBS is making shows like this geared more towards the kids of this generation. If I were that age, I’d more than likely be watching this show, especially if they were incorporating artists like Ne-Yo and Wyclef Jean on there. Smart move.
